The Stan Dash Band had the following band members:

 

  • Bernard Smith, (Sax)
  • Colin Bastin, (Accordion)
  • John Charlesworth, (Trumpet)
  • Len Stagg, (Bass)
  • Reg King, (Drums)
  • Stan Dash, (Leader, but did not play an instrument)
  • Tom Downie, (Sax)
  • Trudy Gough, (Piano)

 

 

 

The Stan Dash Band was based in Wootton Bassett and thus not so well known by Swindonians. Stan Dash was an unusual band leader, as he didn't play a musical instrument.
